Privacy Policy
ReelShopper · Last updated June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ReelShopper ("ReelShopper," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use our Shopify application ("App") or visit our website at https://slideflow.fly.dev.
ReelShopper is operated by PRP Webs. By installing the App, connecting an Instagram account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who this policy applies to
- Merchants — Shopify store owners and staff who install and configure ReelShopper in Shopify Admin.
- Storefront visitors — customers who view shoppable reel widgets on a merchant's online store.
- Instagram account holders — when a merchant connects their Instagram Professional account to ReelShopper.
2. Information we collect
From Shopify merchants
- Shop domain, OAuth session data, and Shopify access tokens required to operate the App.
- Staff profile fields provided by Shopify during authentication (such as name, email, and user ID) when available.
- Product, theme, and file metadata accessed through Shopify Admin API scopes (
read_products,read_themes,read_files,write_files) to sync reels, tag products, and upload merchant videos. - App configuration you create, including reels, sliders, product mappings, display settings, and onboarding progress.
- Billing plan status and subscription updates from Shopify.
From Instagram (optional)
If a merchant chooses to connect Instagram, we receive and store:
- Instagram user ID, username, and profile picture URL.
- Long-lived access tokens, refreshed before expiry, stored server-side only.
- Media metadata for the connected account's Reels: media ID, media URL, thumbnail URL, caption, permalink, timestamp, and view counts where available.
We do not download or permanently store Instagram video files. We cache metadata and stream media from Instagram or Shopify as configured by the merchant. We never post to Instagram on a merchant's behalf.
From storefront visitors
- Anonymous session identifiers generated in the browser to measure reel widget performance.
- Interaction events such as impressions, video plays, product clicks, add-to-cart actions, and fullscreen opens.
- Reel, slider, and product handle identifiers associated with those events.
We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, or payment details from storefront visitors through the reel widget. Checkout and customer account data remain handled by Shopify and the merchant.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and storefront widgets.
- Let merchants import, organize, and display shoppable videos on their stores.
- Show merchants analytics such as impressions, plays, product clicks, and attributed orders or revenue where enabled.
- Authenticate merchants and process app billing through Shopify.
- Respond to support requests and improve reliability and security.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Instagram or merchant data for advertising or profiling unrelated to the App.
4. How we share information
We may share information only in these limited cases:
- Shopify — to authenticate the App, access store data you authorize, and process billing.
- Meta / Instagram — when a merchant connects Instagram, to retrieve authorized profile and media data using Instagram's APIs.
- Service providers — such as Fly.io (hosting) and infrastructure vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain merchant and app data while the App is installed and as needed to provide the service. When a merchant uninstalls ReelShopper, we delete associated session data, shop settings, reels, sliders, product mappings, onboarding records, and Instagram tokens.
Aggregated analytics may be retained in de-identified form for service improvement. Storefront session and event data is retained only as long as needed for analytics reporting.
Instagram users may request deletion of data associated with their Instagram account through Meta's data deletion flow. Our deletion callback is available at https://slideflow.fly.dev/api/webhooks/instagram/data-deletion, and status pages are shown at https://slideflow.fly.dev/data-deletion-status.
6. Your choices and rights
- Merchants can disconnect Instagram at any time from the ReelShopper dashboard, which revokes tokens and removes imported Instagram data.
- Merchants can uninstall the App from Shopify Admin to remove ReelShopper data from our systems.
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information. Contact us to exercise those rights.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including HTTPS, access controls, and server-side storage of sensitive tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
ReelShopper is hosted in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Children
ReelShopper is a business application intended for Shopify merchants and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or by email where appropriate.
